The choice of a reverse osmosis system should only be made after expert advice, and knowing the chemical composition of the water to be treated.
All components of the device are NSF certified for potable water treatment. (ISO for W.F pre-filters).
A typical system has five stages of water treatment:
- 5m high density polypropylene membrane to retain suspended particles.
- Replacement active carbon filter with a capacity of 5 m for retention of chlorine and other chemical pollutants.
- Replacement active carbon filter with a capacity of 3 m for retention of chlorine and other chemical pollutants to a greater extent.
- Reverse osmosis membrane with a filtration capacity of 0.001μ for the retention of iron (in small concentrations), manganese, nitrates, salts, hexavalent chromium and other pollutants. The water is also slightly disinfected by prohibiting the passage of bacteria.
- Coconut carbon filter for the final deodorization of the water.
