The NW-RO50-A1 reverse osmosis device has:
- VONTRON semi-permeable reverse osmosis membrane with a filtration precision of 0.1 nm, capable of removing dissolved solids, organics, bacteria, etc.,
- a Post Inline T33 filter,
- a 5 µm polypropylene PP filter,
- a CTO solid carbon filter and
- a GAC granular carbon filter.
- Electric pump
- Filtered water storage tank
- Faucet and connection materials as well as three-way bypass of the reverse osmosis membrane
- Manual cleaning system of the osmosis membrane
The 5 different filtering stages are as follows:
- Stage 1: 5 micron polypropylene solid particle filter to remove sediment, rust, asbestos fibers up to 5 µm in diameter (needs replacement approximately every 3 months)
- Stage 2: CTO 5μm solid activated carbon filter to capture additional suspended solids, chlorine, chlorine derivatives, chemical compounds, cysts, heavy metals, etc. (needs to be replaced approximately every 6 months)
- Stage 3: UDF activated carbon filter in powder form to remove odors, chlorine retention, chlorine derivatives, chemical compounds, cysts, heavy metals, etc. (needs to be replaced approximately every 6 months)
- Stage 4: Highly immunorejected, thin-film-type (TFC) reverse osmosis membrane made in the USA to filter a wide range of impurities, including salts (total dissolved solids, TDS), bacteria and viruses down to 0 .0001 micron. The clean water that remains is stored in a storage tank, while the filtered water is discharged down the drain. (requires replacement approximately every 12 months)
- Stage 5: Built-in high-quality activated carbon filter (GAC type), used to remove dissolved gases and unpleasant tastes & odors from the water held in the storage tank. This is the final treatment before absolutely clean and healthy water reaches your glass! (requires replacement approximately every 12 months)
